Twin clouded leopard cubs make debut

Two endangered clouded leopard cubs were on view during their feeding on Friday, March 23, 2012. Visitors and the media could watch the two-week-old twins be held, bottle-fed, and burped by zoo staff biologists. The brother and sister cubs were also weighed, each coming in at just under two pounds. The cubs will make their public debut on Saturday with appearances every four hours during their feeding times, currently 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The public will also have the opportunity to vote on the cubs’ names through the Zoo’s website. Let us know how you voted in the comments below. More photos of the cubs in our photo gallery.

The female two-week-old clouded leopard cub, born at the Point Defiance Zoo on March 6, is lifted from its crate Friday by staff biologist Andy Goldfarb at feeding time.
